Precision ag has existed for thirty years. Smaller farms didn't get it because it was packaged for enterprise budgets, agronomist retainers and IT staff.

The founder
Doug Weist grew up on a family farm in North Central Montana and still lives on it. He farms the ground these tools run on.
B.S. in Plant Biotechnology, Montana State, 2002. Cereal breeding at WestBred, precision ag at CHS, and a year of ag work in Ukraine in 2009.
He founded FarmTech as a precision-ag service, then built the tools the market wasn't building. He codes, machines parts, and is out in the field with customers.
Off the clock: backcountry skier; has farmed on several continents.

Environmental science and Fish, Wildlife & Parks background. Every soil map's agronomic story comes through him. Off the clock: fishing, camping.
B.S. in computer science, Lewis University. Built FarmIQ™ from scratch, then wrote FarmDefender™'s detection software. Serious chess player.
Machining-school grad from precision manufacturing; builds the hardware side of every product. Certified farrier, skier, and part of his family's outfitting business.
