How It Works

The scanner reads natural gamma radiation across every acre and tells us where to sample. We run the whole job.

Scan data becomes 10×10-foot nutrient maps in FarmIQ, overlaid with your satellite and machine data.

Every map underpins nitrogen monitoring, weed prescriptions, and year-over-year comparison.
Most draw zones, then sample them. We measure every 10×10 feet and only zone the prescription, so your controller can read it.
What We Map
Nutrients (N-P-K + micros)
Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur. Optional micros: zinc, iron, manganese, copper, boron.
Organic matter + pH
LOI organic matter, pH, and buffer pH for lime. Tracked yearly, OM shows if you're building soil or mining it.
EC + CEC + texture
Conductivity, cation exchange capacity, and sand/silt/clay: why that northwest corner always runs dry two weeks early.

We've built prescriptions since the early 2000s. Since fall 2024, FarmIQ Soil RX replaces the hand GIS work, so every field gets a repeatable prescription.

Common questions
$12.50/acre for scanning and lab-analyzed samples, good for five crop seasons. FarmIQ Soil RX prescriptions are $0.50/acre per nutrient or $2.50/acre for all maps, unlimited runs per season. Most operations recover the fee in fertilizer savings the first season (full price list).
Almost any time: only big snow drifts or ice stop a scan, and frozen ground is fine. Crop/fallow, scan the fallow spring through summer; irrigated or recropping, right behind the combines.
PDF for review, shapefile for GIS, and ISOXML for the cab. Compatible with John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Ag Leader, Trimble, Raven, Topcon, and any variable-rate-capable system. Tell us what's in your cab and we verify the format first.
