With over two decades of experience in precision agriculture, FarmTech is dedicated to delivering world-class solutions to farmers around the globe. Founded by Doug Weist, FarmTech leverages extensive industry knowledge to provide cutting-edge hardware and data-driven tools that empower farmers to make informed, efficient decisions.

Doug Weist grew up on a family farm in North Central Montana, where he developed a deep-rooted passion for agriculture. Alongside his wife, Cindi, Doug resides on their family farm, continuing the legacy of sustainable and innovative farming practices. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biotechnology from Montana State University in 2002, equipping him with the scientific expertise to advance agricultural technologies.

After graduating, Doug briefly worked at WestBred, a cereal plant breeding company, where he honed his skills in crop improvement. He then took on a permanent role with CHS, Inc., providing precision agriculture solutions to Montana farmers in the early 2000s. In 2009, Doug expanded his horizons by working in Ukraine for six months, gaining international experience and insights into global agricultural practices.  Upon returning to Montana, Doug founded FarmTech, focusing on delivering comprehensive hardware and data solutions tailored to modern farming needs. Today, FarmTech proudly employs a dedicated team of five full-time professionals and serves a customer base of over 500 farmers worldwide.
